In preparation for your Moroccan adventure, the following is a list of things to consider packing that will make your trip as smooth and comfortable as possible.

Morocco Travel Medicines
While no shots are required to enter Morocco, it is recommended that you come prepared with a personal medical kit. Morocco does have French pharmacies widely available throughout the country for basic things such as cold medicine or over the counter medicine. Depending on your health condition, you may want to consult with your doctor before your trip. The climate in Morocco is diverse and different from what travelers are used to, so come prepared with the following:

Seasonal Clothing
• During the summer months in Morocco travelers should be prepared for very hot weather. Loose, long-sleeved, lightweight clothing is advised, as well as sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat or headscarf. Bring sturdy sandals for walking or flip flops for the beach or hammam.
• In spring and fall Morocco has milder temperatures that can vary. Bring layers in case of cooler nights or chilly mornings. Spring in Morocco can also bring rain. An umbrella and light raincoat are recommended.
• Winter in Morocco is also relatively mild, but can be cold at night. A sweater and a light jacket during winter are essential. Winter is also the season that has the most rainfall, therefore make sure to bring waterproof shoes and a raincoat.

Formalities
Do not forget your passport and check its validity. Some nationalities need to have a visa. Ask the Moroccan Consulate for information. A “tourist” visit is limited to three months. If you take your pet with you, obtain a health certificate no more than 10 days old, as well as an anti rabies certificate less than 6 months old.
Currency
The Moroccan currency is the Dirham (DH) divided into 100 centimes. There are 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 DH notes, 1, 5 and 10 DH coins and 5, 10, 20 and 50 centime coins. You can only obtain Dirhams in Morocco. Do not change money in the streets, it is illegal. The best place to change it is at a bank or approved change office (indicated by a golden sign). No commission is charged and you will be given a slip which will be required at the end of your stay to change any remaining Dirhams back into the original currency. You can withdraw money in banks with a credit card and a cheque book, or directly from a cash dispenser in some large towns. Credit cards are generally accepted in major hotels, shops and restaurants, and sometimes even in the souks!
Health
Morocco is a safe country, however a certain number of minimal precautions should be taken, particularly in the south: avoid water from oueds (rivers) and itinerant water sellers. Refresh yourself with the excellent bottled spring water: Sidi Harazem, Imouzzer and Sidi Ali are still waters, while Oulmès is sparkling. If you are prone to intestinal problems, take an appropriate medicine with you. Make enquiries before swimming in a oued (river) or a lake. Take precautions against insect bites and sunburn. If necessary, tourist offices and major hotels can put you in touch with doctors who speak English, French or other languages.
Electricity
220 volts in new buildings, 110 in older ones, sometimes both – make enquiries. Power points are of the French type. The frequency used is 50 Hz.
Telecommunications
220 Public telephones are available in major cities. Telexes,telegrams can be send from your hotel or through the main post office.

3- Avoid tap water, buy containers of 5 liter, it costs 13 dirhams, fill up your own bottle all the time, to reduce the use of plastic bottles… First days of tour, please avoid salads and raw food, only cooked food. like Tagines, Grills…
Wine stores are available in big cities and offer local wines.
We schedule mostly local restaurants and places of cultural interest. We also arrange Family visits and Home made Dinners.
4: In Medinas and souks, please make sure your personal items are in your ruck sack and closed carefully, to avoid all pickpocketing… Its generally safe in Morocco, but always be careful to your phones and wallets especially in Crowded Souks and Medinas.
5: As you are travelling Morocco’s Highlights, Guided Tours of Old Medinas, please always make sure you leave your passport and valuables at the hotel in your room during the City Tours and visits to Souks, ask the hotel to Make a copy of your passport and take riad business card at every hotel you check in.
6: You can ask the team to help you to do any activity you like that requires to stay out late, like dinner with show in some restaurants, when you lose directions in the Medinas and old cities, you can always ask shopkeepers only for directions or Phone your guide to help, in Fez avoid walking alone in the old Medina ( in case lose directions, please ask Cafeshops or Restaurants for directions.
7- Crossing the roads, always walk with locals, always walk right side on the pavement or by walls in crowded places and watch your steps…
8: You will go to see old cities with local guides, like fes, Marrakech… these tours include visits to artisans, make sure that you are there to learn and discover, not to shop, always bargain prices (25% ) if you are interested to buy HandiCraft items, prices are high in some craft stores. our tours are shopping free and hassle free.
9: You may see animals in the streets, like cats and dogs, sometimes they may carry rabies, avoid touching while feeding is OK.
10: Tip the guide in city tour if you are satisfied with the services provided, from 100 Dirhams per visit.
11: People are open minded in morocco, you always can interact, but avoid sharing your phone number and personal contacts to whoever you meet (cafés, hotels, camelmen, restaurants…, interaction to discover culture… the services providers are not in no way connected to us.
12: WIFI is in every hotel.
13: ATM and Cash Machines, Exchange offices are everywhere, please use ATM once and if it does not work, do not try second time, recommended to withdraw where you spend 2 nights.
14: Please bring appropriate clothing for cold nights and warm days, Hats, Jackets and Walking Trousers, Shoes, Running shoes, small umbrella, Torch, Power bank… small rucksack for day pack. wearing shoes during the day is recommended as our tours include activities and walks that require good shoes.
15: Please Tip your guide and driver at the end of tour, recommended depends on satisfaction, 100 Dirham per person per day.
16: Please be punctual and make sure you are always on time, pay bills at night in the hotels to avoid delays in the morning.
17: If you have any issue with the rooms, please talk to your leader immediately, to fix or change the room if necessary.
18 : laundry and wash service is available always, Speak to your leader.
19: General Photographs are allowed throughout the tour, please ask for People’s permission when taking their photos, It is not allowed to photograph all UNIFORMS.
20: Our tours are adventurous and offer, wellbeing and cultural discovery, we include activities with low risk, hiking, visiting families, please avoid High Risk activities, like climbing, quads, Horse rides…
21: Make sure you send us your travel insurance name and phone number and family Number to contact if Necessary. (please provide your tour leader on first day)
22: Any disrespect, misconduct, safety matter, incident no matter how small it is, please contact us immediately on the site.
Pricing and Tipping:
1 Meal costs: from 7 to 12 USD, restaurants with show and luxury places may be totally different. / Most of traditional places accept Cash only.
5Liter of water costs: 13 Dirhams, please buy the 5Liters bottles to reduce the use of plastic.
